Our Certified Celebrants, Kathleen Shaffer and Kadi Scafuro, will assist you in creating that special service. Our personalized services have included bringing a Harley-Davidson into the chapel, setting up putting greens, and making quilts and travel maps of the vacations the family had taken over the years. Creating a lasting and loving tribute to your family member is our gift to you.  We offer photo tribute DVD’s made to bring the legacy of your family to life and touch the hearts of those attending visitation and services.

childs-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home

The Williams-Ducro Funeral Home located at 1071 State Route 7 North in Pierpont Township is the newest facility in the Ducro Family of Funeral Homes.  The original funeral home was located at 96 State Road  #7 South in Pierpont directly across the street from Pierpont Presbyterian Church. It had served the community well for many years. In 2012, we relocated to the former Pierpont Elementary School, leasing the south wing of the school from the owners, Wright Farms.

For many of the families in Pierpont it feels as though they have come home when they walk through the doors of our newly remodeled and updated funeral home which tastefully displays the photos of former graduating classes of Pierpont School when it was a K-12 facility.

The Williams-Ducro Funeral Home and funeral director, Bernard ”Bud” Williams, Jr. continues the tradition of quality service. We are compassionate and caring and offer a variety services to memorialize your loved one.  Whether you choose and simple or elaborate funeral or memorial service involving either burial or cremation choices, we can show you many options to make the service for your family member personal in every way. Our large spacious chapel and state of the art audio-visual equipment gives us the ability to create DVD videos with your family photos to bring the legacy of your family to life and touch the hearts of those attending visitation and services.

Greenlawn Memory Gardens

Greenlawn Memory Gardens began in the early 1960’s with the first burial in the fall of 1962.  The concept of the cemetery was a park-like atmosphere, flush and upright markers, ornamental trees, sculpted bushes, and beautiful plantings.

Greenlawn consists of approximately 50 acres, of which 25 acres are developed into 11 gardens.  The newest garden accommodates upright monuments.  Six of the gardens have features that depict moments in the life of Christ.  We have a Masonic garden, a Garden of Honor (an area dedicated for our Veterans), and a lawn crypt section which provides pre-installed burial containers. The Serenity Garden was started many years ago for families who need alternative burial options.  Serenity provides a space, outer burial container, opening and closing, and a granite marker for less than $1700 to assist those with financial limitations.  There are currently over 5700 ground burials at the cemetery.

The Mausoleum was started in the early 1970’s.  It has a main chapel and two corridors, one on each side of the chapel.  The building features marble that was shipped from Italy.  This was a way to provide clean, dry, above ground entombments for those who so chose. The Mausoleum Chapel also offers Cremation Niches as an alternative option and is available free of charge to property owners to hold services indoors and out of the elements for their loved one.

Our Garden Mausoleum provides for above-ground entombment it sits directly behind the mausoleum chapel.  There are currently over 780 entombments in our buildings.

We are proud to say that Greenlawn has over 1500 veterans buried and entombed.  All three of our annual programs are because of them:  Echo Taps on Armed Forces Day in May; The Healing Field in June; and Veteran’s Day Program in November.
