Obituary of James Paul Goudge

ASHTABULA – James Paul Goudge, 66, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 surrounded by his family, after fighting a short, yet hard, battle with renal failure.

 

He was born on April 2, 1951 in Hancock, MI, the son of William and Sylvia (Myllyoja) Goudge.

 

Jim worked 34 years at Grand River Rubber and Plastics, before retiring in 2014.

 

Retirement allowed more time for his family, especially camping with his wife, Mary Ellen, whom he married on August 22, 1998.

 

He also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and spending time with friends he made in Youngstown.

 

Jim leaves behind is beloved wife, Mary Ellen (Augustyniak) Goudge; step-daughter, Seana (Rob) Warta; step-son, James Ray; brothers, Bill (DeAnna), Tom (Pam), Steve, Bert (Michelle), Jeff (Sharon), Tim (Kathy), and David (Diane) Goudge; sisters, Laura (Tom) Foster and Anne (Bob) Goudge; grandchildren, Kevin, Jim III, Joseph, Luke, Alyssa (Cody) Lake, Elaina, Mason, Morrison, and one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 11AM – 1PM with a service to follow at 1PM at ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, OH.

 

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS IN HIS NAME MAY BE MADE TO THE FAMILY.
