Obituary of John Vincent Mitter

Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

PIERPONT – John Vincent Mitter, 55, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Conneaut Medical Center.

He was born on March 14, 1962 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of John and Iva (Smith) Mitter.

Since 1997, John had currently been working as a heavy equipment operator for P&C Dock in Conneaut, Ohio.

When he wasn't working, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, and spending time with his wife Kim, whom he married on March 2, 1984, and the rest of his family and friends.

A loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend; was loved by many and taken all too soon. He will be missed by all that knew him, but his memory will live on through the lives he touched.

Let there be comfort in knowing he is watching over his family and friends until the day they meet again.

He leaves behind his wife, Kim (Wheeler) Mitter; sons, John and Josh Mitter; grandson, Remington "Rem" Mitter, parents, John and Iva Mitter; brother, Jason Mitter; in-laws, Cy and Mary Wheeler; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in law, friends, and his pets, Woody and Bella.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Pauline Mitter, and Wade and Ina Smith.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 3-7PM at WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 1071 State Route 7 N, Pierpont, OH 44082.
