Obituary of Rosalie A Porfilio

Rosalie A. Porfilio ASHTABULA – Rosalie A. Porfilio, 78, was reunited with her beloved husband, John on Saturday, February 24, 2018. The daughter of Clarence F. and Mary Ann (Morisack) Keiser, Rosalie was born December 2, 1939 in Conneautville, Pennsylvania. Rosalie and John Porfilio were married on August 15, 1958 in Angola, Indiana. They moved to the Ashtabula area in 1967. In their marriage journey of twenty seven years; they created a life full of wonderful memories filled with love and shared by their children and grandchildren. Rosalie was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Joseph's Church. She was devoted to her faith and to her church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. After her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 1982 she relied on her faith more than ever. Rosalie enjoyed going for walks and enjoying the beauty of God's nature. She was always willing to help those in need and share her wisdom. She was supportive of her children and grandchildren and loved sharing stories of them with her friends. A wonderful, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend she will be missed and fondly remembered. Her devotion to her faith and to her family is to be admired. Rosalie is survived by her children, John(Colleen ) Porfilio of Conneaut, Christine Ritchie and Theresa Malin both of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Jenna, Madelyn, Kayla, Daniel, Alexis, and Logan ; great-granddaughter, Lyla; siblings, Clare Keiser, Clarence Keiser, Joseph Keiser, and Jean (Jim )Wigand; numerous nieces and nephews. Rosalie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Porfilio on June 19, 1986; siblings, Rita Stancliff, Thomas Keiser; and her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace, St. Joseph's Church, 3400 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Conneautville, Pennsylvania. A calling hour will be observed from 9:00Am until time of service at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 3400 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.
