Obituary of Richard Earl Pallant

Harpersfield- Richard Earl Pallant, 74, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
He was born on October 15, 1943 in Geneva, Ohio the son of Joseph and Harriet (Tyler) Pallant. Richard graduated from Geneva High School Class of 1961. He was an active member of the Harpersfield United Methodist Church.
Richard was well known in the farming community, hauling produce and eggs for area farmers, as well as Mike's Farm Market. More recently, he would distribute extra produce to area food pantries and kept an eye on the best deals in the area for them. He was also involved with the annual Geneva Grape Jamboree for over 40 years.
Richard is survived by his children, Sherry Lake, Michael (Christine) Pallant, and Angel Pallant; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnn Pallant; brother, Harry (Pat) Pallant; step-brother, Tom (Denise) Pallant; step-sisters, Judy Pallant, Joy Pallant and Sue (Bruce) DeRidder; and a step-mother, Katherine Pallant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Anthony J. Pallant.
Calling hours will be held, MONDAY, MARCH 12, 2018 from 6-8PM at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula. Graveside services will be observed WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14, 2018 at 11:00AM at Unionville Cemetery, Rt 84 and Countyline Road.
