Marilyn J.  (Ditch) Bedogne

ASHTABULA – Marilyn Ditch Bedogne, 80, passed away March 15, 2018 at Country Club Retirement.

                She was born March 26, 1937 in Meadville, PA, the daughter of Lawrence Alfred “Mike” and Ann Ditch.

                A graduate of Meadville High School, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.

                After teaching three years in New Castle, PA, the married Chuck Bedogne on June 16, 1962 and moved to Ashtabula in 1963.  There, she worked as a substitute teacher at Buckeye Local Schools and then taught Adult Business Education for 25 years at the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School.

                An excellent cook, Marilyn always made family dinners and celebrations special.  She enjoyed travelling with her family, shopping and sports, Cleveland, Ohio .

                Her survivors include her husband, Charles Bedogne of Ashtabula; two children, Dianne (James) Kasberg of Mentor and Peggy (Michael) Messent of Florida; grandchildren, Kristen Kasburg, Brandon Kasburg, William Messent, and Michael Messent, Jr.

                She was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Ditch and her parents.

                A private service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Ashtabula with  Rev. Father David Bridling, of Our Lady of Peace Parish will preside.  Entombment will follow.
