David Jerome Clavadetscher, 82, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Rae-Ann Nursing Home in Geneva. He was born October 4, 1935 in Billings, Montana the son of the late Herman and Ruth (O'Malley) Clavadetscher. David was a graduate of Georgetown University where he earned his Bachelor's Degree. David married the love of his life Katherine "Kay" Moody on January 7, 1961. David worked for many years as the President of Quantum Composites in Midland Michigan and also worked as Vice President of Sales at Premix in North Kingsville. He served on the board of ACMC, member of the Society of Plastics Industry; he participated in the Civic Development Corporation of Ashtabula County and served as a lector in his earlier years at St. Andrew's Parish in Sheffield Twp., Ohio. Mr. Clavadetscher was an avid golfer, and loved traveling with his beloved wife, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Katherine; children, Mark Clavadetscher, Cynthia Waddle, and Monica (Joseph) Wilkes; grandchildren, Colin and Ethan Waddle, and Ashley Wilkes; brother, Gregory and Jules Clavadetscher. He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Clavadetscher; and his parents. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 3700 State. Route 193, Sheffield Twp., Ohio with Rev. Fr. John Ettinger, presiding. Burial will follow at Gageville Cemetery.
