Obituary of Thomas Arthur Snyder

ASHTABULA – Thomas Arthur Snyder, 60, of West 48th Street died Friday, April 6, 2018 at his home. He was born July 18, 1957 in Chicago, IL, the son of Chester Thomas Snyder and Lillian Victoria (fink) Snyder and had been an Ashtabula resident since 1978, when his mother moved the family to Ashtabula shortly after his father passed away. A graduate of William H. Wells High School in Chicago, IL, he had worked at the No Name Café in Geneva for 8 years. Thomas attended the Pentecostal Church of God and volunteered at the Ashtabula Dream Center. He loved bowling at ABC lanes (every Friday night) and enjoyed watching baseball, football, some basketball, and NASCAR racing. He also collected model cars of Dale Earnhardt and enjoyed listening to old time rock-n-roll, Chuck Berry and the Beach Boys. His survivors include his mother, Lillian Fink Snyder McCabe of Ashtabula; five sisters, Victoria Romig, Jeannie (Thomas) Fink, Kathryn (Ronald) Bartone, and Wilma Snyder, all of Ashtabula and Gina Snyder of Warren; one brother, Edward (Stacey) Snyder of Kelloggsville; four step-sisters, Nancy, Barbara, Jean, and Brenda; one step-brother, Robert; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a step-brother, Jimmy McCabe; his father; a sister, Sandy Snyder; and his step-father, Lloyd S. McCabe in 1994. Calling hours will be Friday, April 13, 2018 from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula. A service will be held Saturday, April 14. 2018 at 11:00AM at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula. Rev. Duane Ball, Pastor of Harvest Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the family.
