Obituary of Rollin Eugene Jerome

Rollin E. Jerome GENEVA – Rollin Eugene Jerome, 79, left his earthly world on Saturday, April 28, 2018 to begin his life anew. The son of Lyle and Theora (Miller) Jerome, Rollin was born on October 7, 1938 in Madison, Ohio. And was a graduate of Madison High School. Rollin is a veteran of the United States Army having served from 1963 to 1965. Rollin was a dedicated and valuable employee of Rockwell Brake having worked more than twenty-two years as a machine operator. After retiring from Rockwell he was employed with Reese Machine for eight years' retiring in 2000. Rollin liked to work and it showed in everything her did; he was a perfectionist. Rollin attended Messiah Lutheran Church with his wife, Faythe. Rollin and Faythe Helm were married on May 9, 1992; they enjoyed twenty six years of love and companionship. Their marriage created a large busy and wonderful family. giving much laughter and joy to their lives. Rollin enjoyed being outdoors; he enjoyed many outdoor activities. He and Faythe were fishing partners often going out on the boat to enjoy the time together; he was a trap shooter, a golf enthusiast, and a fan of the Indians and Browns. Rollin liked to have a neatly trimmed and mowed yard and beautiful flower beds. Rollin is survived by his wife, Faythe Jerome; step-children, Matt(Tonya) Helm of Chugiak, Alaska and Lisa Helm of Thompson; grandchildren, Stefon, Lauren, Collin, Joseph and Dawson; Great-granddaughter, Pennie Rood; sisters, Barbara Paine of Geneva –on-the-Lake, and Beverly (Joe)Vannatter of Torrance, California; nieces, Cheryl (Woody)Woodward of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Carol (Bob) Cottom of Ashtabula and Kristina( Robert) Petty of Torrance, California; his nephew, Richard (Debra) Paine of Lakeland, Florida; several great nieces and nephews. Rollin was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna J. (Borris) Jerome and his parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00PM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Messiah, Lutheran Church, 615 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula Ohio; Rev. Dr. Michael Meranda, will officiate. Private inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva. Calling hours will be held from 2:00Pm to 4:00Pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 615, West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio.
