ASHTABULA – Gloria Jean Lybrook, 74, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at ACMC.
Born March 17, 1944 in Akron, she was the daughter of Orvel and Olive (Sayers) Mauk. She moved to Ashtabula 6 years ago after living most of her life in the Akron area.
On July 21, 1962, she married the love of her life, Henry Lybrook and together they shared over 55 years of companionship and adventure.
A devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she also loved green carnations, crocheting, and classic country music.
Her survivors include her husband, Henry; seven children, Thomas (Pam) Mauk of AZ, Brenda Putnam of FL, Mary (Raymond) Andrews of Akron, Henry "Hank" (Nancy) Lybrook, Jr. of AZ, William Lybrook, Jr of Ashtabula, Angie Lybrook of Ashtabula, and Michael Lybrook of Akron; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters, Evelyn Oren, Joyce Wilt, Marcia Goodrich, and Audrey Cogar, all of Akron; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved Chihuahuas, Bubba and Buddy.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Mauk; and her parents.
Calling hours will be from 5-7PM with a service at 7 PM on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula. Pastor Sharone Singh will officiate.
