Joyce taught my English class at Edgewood high in 1968. She took a special interest in me for my creative writing skills. She had the biggest impact on my high school years. I was never a good willing student not applying myself. Believe this or not, instead of taking the tests other pupils took she would grade me on short stories I wrote. I passed her class with flying colors. Just last month I was searching for her to say thank you for being such a great friend, sadly I could not find her. So thank you Ms. Anderson for being who you were, a wonderful person.
Regards, Ray.

Over the years, I have found myself reflecting on Dr. J's lessons - those taught in the classroom and those taught about life. Some of my fondest memories from high school are in the setting of her classroom.
While her legacy lives strongest in her family .... as one of her many students, I was also touched by her intelligence, creativity and integrity and strive to incorporate her teachings in my life.
God Bless you and your family, Dr. J, and thank you for your positive impact on my life.

Mrs. A was simply one of the best teachers I ever had. She convinced me to go to Ohio University and study broadcasting, and although I didn’t end up pursuing that field her encouragement helped set a course for my life that I will always be thankful for as long as I live. Godspeed, and I am lucky to have been one of her students!

Dr. Anderson was one of the finest teachers I ever had, and probably the most influential. She taught me many lessons I carry with me today. I will be forever grateful to have had her in my life.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was my substitute journalism teacher at Edgewood Senior High School and also a substitute English teacher at times back in the early 1960s. I remember her well. She also wrote me regularly when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Micronesia. My condolences are with Mrs. Anderson's family and friends.

While the curtain may have closed Mrs "A" impact on all of her students will live on. She was my speech teacher, director and co worker and in all those rolls she was someone I am proud to say I knew.

Tim, Joni, & family: I grieve for us, but Heaven’s choir is singing! “Mother A” was a teacher, Director, mentor, pen pal, confidante, fellow Leo, and wonderful friend of mine since I met her at EHS (I graduated in 1970. I was in Sound of Music under her in high school and worked with her at Straw Hat). I doubt you remember me, but I spent many hours at your house (parties too). I loved your dad Jack - he put up with all of us. My boys and I spent the day with her in CA at LegoLand with Jeffrey about 20 yrs ago (Jeremy carried him on his back at Jeffrey’s request!). She was one of a kind and I will always remember her smile and laugh. She has kept me up to date on your lives. May God bless & keep you
