ASHTABULA -Patricia S. Ferguson- Patsy "Jose" 65 of E. 47th Street Ashtabula passed away unexpectedly at ACMC on Tuesday June 12th, 2018. Patsy was born on November 30, 1952 in Phoenix, AZ. She was the daughter of the late Federico and Guadalupe Quinonez. Patsy graduated from Tolleson Union High School of Tolleson, Arizona in 1970.She later moved to Ashtabula, Ohio to raise her two children and where she spent her life. Patsy worked at many places throughout Ashtabula over the years. She was a prep cook at Country Club Retirement, Kork and Kettle along with Kids Only. She enjoyed at Kids Only as she made sure all those sweet children had full bellies and sometime would give them an extra scoop and also was known for her Iced Tea. She was a bar maid at DeeGee's, Zal's, Crow's Nest, and also made burritos at Iroquois Lounge. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion, Ladies of in Country Vietnam Vets and former Blue Star member. She played with local softball and volleyball teams. She enjoyed baseball and basketball. She knew her sports well. She will be missed tremendously by all of those that loved her. She had a great spirit and truly was an amazing Nana, mother, sister, friend and companion. Her trademark was to always assign a nickname to all those she came in contact with. Survivors include Alan Grimm her companion of twenty-two years; two children Master Sergeant of Marine Corps Retired, Jim(Ines)Ferguson of Beaufort, South Carolina and Stephanie (Jessie)Vencill of Ashtabula; stepdaughter, Lori(Grimm)Jesse) Joyal of Chardon, OH.; her fur baby Mr. Murphy who was her protector; sisters, Genevieve S. Quinonez, Elizabeth(Michael)Arcella;brothers, Fredd(Isabel)Quinonez, Peter Quinonez, Paul(Carissa)Quinonez all of Arizona and Robert(Mariea)Quinonez of Saudi Arabia;Tia Nellie and Tio Mathias Guitierrez, Tia Mercy and Tio Ascension Ruiz, Tio Ray ;grandchildren, Emma Ferguson, Ryanna, Ty, Myla, and Brynlee Vencill,Halee McNeil, Ellissa Grimm, Kearstyn Artman, Dominik, Riven and Evan Joyal; Godchildren,Anthony Villa of Arizona,Erin Decot of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and Rodney Starcher of Ashtabula. Funeral Services will be held at 7: PM; Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Rev. Kenneth Roberts will officiate. Calling hours will be observed on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 5PM until time of service at 7PM at the funeral home. Patricia's family would like to give a special thank you to those persons at ACMC, Pastor Kenneth Roberts, JP Ducro, Community Care Ambulance and Life Bank for their care and compassion during our time of loss.
