Dr. Thomas M. Williams
ASHTABULA- Dr. Thomas Mark Williams, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic.
The son of Delbert John and Alda Jane (Elbel) Williams, Tom was born on May 18, 1952 in Punxsutawney, PA. Tom earned his Doctor of Podiatry Medicine (DPM) from the University of Pittsburgh and began his practice in the Ashtabula area in late 70’s.
Tom enjoyed his practice and the many patients he met, they became like family to him and he enjoyed visiting with them during their appointments.
Tom loved to try new foods, he was the consummate “foodie”, and he enjoyed Tex-Mex cuisine and looked forward to finishing a good dining experience with dessert.
An amateur photographer, Tom enjoyed taking pictures of lighthouses and old ships and cheering for his beloved Steelers.
Tom had a penchant for travel; he always looked forward to his trips to Texas and Florida to visit family and friends. His favorite place to visit was Chicago to be with his two very special grandchildren, Amelia and Holden.
Tom is survived by his daughters, Megan (Matthew) Karwacki and their children, Amelia and Holden of Chicago, IL and Jillian Williams of Austinburg; siblings, Tammy (Vince) Conrad of McMurray, PA, Barb (Greg) Trammell of Cape Coral, FL, Amy (Robert) Williamson of Jacksonville, FL, and Sybil (Alan) Nichol of Punxsutawney, PA; sister-in-law, Carol Williams of Indiana, PA; many loving nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his daughters, Tricia Williams, and Sybil Williams who died in infancy; his parents, and his brother, Curt Williams, and the mother of his children, Beverly (Garuckas) Williams.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 9AM until time of service at 10AM at Our Lady of Peace Parrish, St. Joseph Church, 3312 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.
Mass of the Christian burial will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Parrish, St. Joseph Church, 3312 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004. Rev. David Brindling will preside with inurnment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Ashtabula, Ohio.
