ASHTABULA- Jerry William Muto, 77, died on Saturday, July 14, 2018 while a patient at ACMC.

The son of William and Lila (Prosser) Muto, Jerry was born in Ashtabula on February 24, 1941 and a graduate of Riverside High School in Painesville, Ohio.

Jerry was a veteran of the United States Navy having served four years.

A self-employed electrician and contractor, Jerry worked for many families and corporations in the local area. He was meticulous in his work and took pride in his craft.

On February 19, 2002 Jerry and Dorothy Latimer were united in marriage. Although, their time together was not long enough the memories created will fill a lifetime.

Jerry loved the water and was always eager to sail. He and Dorothy sailed from West Palm Beach, FL to Annapolis, MD and the inter-coastal waterway always looking for adventure. He enjoyed being around all animals, but he had a special place in his heart for dogs.

Jerry is survived by his wife Dorothy of Ashtabula; children, Jerry Muto, Jr of Ashtabula, and Gina(Paul Herdon) Mosier of Eastlake; step children, Mary (Kenny) Babet of Avon, Janine(John) Valvoda of North Royalton and Jeanette Power of NC; grandchildren, Brandi(Tom) Mandzak, Jessica (Ben Reed) Muto, and Melisa (Johnathan) Pineda; great grandchildren, Jack, Alex, Ian,Tommy, Sloan, Braedy, and Alexander; his mother, Lila Muto; his sister, Diane Muto of Painesville; and mother of his children, Betty Muto.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Joseph Church, 3312Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Rev. David Bridling will preside.
