Kay L. Johnson, 84, of North Kingsville, passed away, April 10, 2018 at the Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born December 5, 1933, in Knoxville, TN, the son of the late Brian and Willie Johnson. Kay proudly served his county in the United States Army. He married the love of his life Dorothy Meredieth on February 10, 1963. Mr. Johnson sailed the Great Lakes with Picken and Mathers for over 43 years.
Kay is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy; daughter Emma Holcomb; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his twin sons, Arthur and Alfred Johnson; siblings, Agnes (Buzz) Houser, Mildred (Jim) Lane, Walter (Golda) Johnson, and Billie Johnson; and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1PM at Lakeshore Park main pavillion on Lake Rd., Ashtabula.
