Obituary of R. Jeremy Dale

Madison - R. Jeremy Dale, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at UH Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland.

Jeremy courageously battled cancer by surrounding himself with humor and the love of his family and friends. He found motivation and encouragement by following passed cancer warriors. Two of his favorite quotes were "So live. Live! Fight like Hell, and when you get too tired to fight, then lay down and rest and let somebody else fight for you" -Stuart Scott "Don't give up. Don't ever give up."-Jim Valvano.

He was born on March 29, 1975 in Ashtabula the son of Patricia (Guzzo) and Ronald Dale. Jeremy was a 1993 graduate of Ashtabula High School and attended Youngstown State University and Glenville State College. Jeremy was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he was recently baptized and confirmed.

He was an avid Ohio sports fan, including the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, for which he was a longtime season ticket holder. Jeremy loved sports and played football in high school and college. He enjoyed the time spent on family vacations and going to exotic, warm places.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shondra Dale, whom he married on June 23, 2007 in Geneva; parents Patricia and Ronald Dale, step-daughter Tiffany (George Murphy) Benz; grandchildren, Scarlett and George; brother Jon (Heather) Hayford; sister, Desiree (Mark) Titus; nieces and nephews, Josh, Sandra, Nicolle, Nick and Cody; great-nieces and great-nephews, Emily, Wakiem, Ivar and Carsyn; Aunt Kim Neill and Uncle Gary Neill; and his cousins, Ryan, Kaylyn and Krista.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Sam Guzzo and Laura Guzzo Durst and Sam and Alice Dale.

Calling hours will be held, Friday, August 24, 2018 from 5 to 8 PM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Fr. Thomas Sanders, brother-in-law and Rev. Fr. Sean Donnelly on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
