Raymond P. Arcaro, 87, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018, at his home in Sheffield, Ohio, with his family at his side. He was born on September 9, 1930, in Ashtabula, the son of Clara (Meola) and William Arcaro. Ray served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He married the former Pat Miller in 1955 and together they opened Arcaro's Saddlery, which they owned and operated from 1961 until its closing in August 2018. Mr. Arcaro is survived by his wife, Pat Arcaro; son and daughter-in-law, David and Terry Arcaro of Sheffield Twp.; sister, Dorothy Lange of Concord; brother, Anthony Arcaro of Surprise, AZ; and also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Virginia Hakundy. At Ray's request there will be no public calling hours or services. A private graveside service will be held at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Ray may be given to the Sheffield Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, 3636 Sheffield Monroe Rd., Kingsville, OH 44048 or the APL, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004.
