Obituary of Nancy L. Ralph

Ashtabula Twp.- Nancy L. Ralph, 71, lifelong resident of the area passed away peacefully on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic.

She was born in Ashtabula on May 5, 1947 the daughter of Charles Cook Ralph, III and Mary Dunham Ralph. Nancy graduated from Harbor High School Class of 1965 and received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood from Kent State University. She was a longtime Hair Stylist in Ashtabula. Nancy also touched many children's lives over the years during her time as an Ashtabula County Head Start teacher. She was a member of Compassionate Friends, since 1983 and served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years.

Nancy was a fun loving, witty lady who loved to tease, joke and laugh. She was an avid bingo player and loved her coffee. Nancy loved her family, cared deeply for them and touched every generation in her family. Although she never had children of her own, five generations of nieces and nephews were all treated like her own that she helped raise and enjoyed spending time with them all.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Walter Ralph; sister, Mary Ann (John) Morris; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ralph; step-children, Jon and Rick Saari and Sue Veverka; and was cherished by five generations of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Diana Callahan, Charles C. Ralph, IV, Barbara Green, Linda Copley and Marvin Ralph; nieces Laura Callahan and Jacqueline Callahan; and a nephew, David Ralph.

Funeral services will be held, Monday, September 3, 2018 at 6:00PM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., with Pastor Chris Bell, officiating. Calling hours will be held, Monday from 4PM until time of services at 6PM. A dinner will follow the service in the reception room of the funeral home.
