Obituary of Rev. Dannie T. Sawyers

Rev. Dannie T. Sawyers, 76, passed away on Sept. 11, 2018.  He was born on Dec. 31, 1941 to Robert and Pina (Jorden) Sawyers.  A long time area resident, he had moved from Brownton, WV in 1950.  Rev. Sawyers made garden tools at True Temper for many years, and became ordained in the Pentecostal Church of God in 2007.  He enjoyed cutting up and working with wood.

Rev. Sawyers was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; his sons, Robert  C.  II, John W., and Jerry T. Sawyers; his daughter, Connie D. Sawyers; his brother, Robert Sawyers Jr.; and his sister, LuLu Bell Blevins.  He is survived by his daughter, Linda Sawyers; his sons, Dannie Jr. and Shawn L. Sawyers; his brothers, William and Kyle Sawyers; his sister, Hester Beaver; 18 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. 

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at  the Pentecostal Church of God, 2221 Cook Road, Ashtabula, Ohio from 5-7 PM.  Ducro Funeral Services, 4524 Elm Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio assisted the family. Please leave condolences at  www.ducro.com
