ASHTABULA - Emily Delores Henton, 63, died unexpectedly at her home Monday, September 3, 2018.

The daughter of Dale and Arlowyn (Warren) Severe, Emily was born on March 1, 1955 in Geneva and remained a life-long area resident.

Emily was employed with Share-A-Home agency for many years as a caregiver. She truly enjoyed helping people and her patients became her family.

Emily was a very generous person, both with her time and her talents. She would help anyone who asked and at times even if they didn’t ask. She just seemed to know what they needed.  Emily had a soft spot in her heart for animals, she like all kinds and believed your home was not complete unless you had a pet.

Emily was a devoted mom to her son, Keith and those special children in her life. She would spoil them and send them home to their parents with a huge smile on her face. Waiting for the next time she could do it all over again.

Emily is survived by her beloved son, Keith Henton; grandson, Donnie Henton; sister, Tina (Roger) Stewart; brothers, Stanley Wojciechowski , Michael (MaryLou) Severe; nephews, Rickey Chambers, Joseph Chambers, Dustin Ruth and Christopher Norman; good friend, Fran Jivara; and many other co-workers and former patients.

Emily was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Severe in infancy; her husband, Randolph Henton; brothers, Ronnie and Tony Severe and her parents.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Emily’s family asks that you remember her loving smile and generous heart and share that with someone in need.
