Obituary of Jean Roland Nagle

Jean Roland Nagle, Jr., 55, of Pierpont, OH passed away surrounded by loved ones, in the Hospice Unit of the Ashtabula County Medical Center on Monday, September 17, 2018.

Born May 12, 1963 in Ashland, Ohio the son of the late Jean R. Nagle, Sr. and Margaret (Anthony) Nagle.  He married Fawn Wrisley on February 16, 1999 in Virginia. Jean worked at Lukjan in Conneaut, OH for 22 years and more recently worked the last seven years at Presrite in Jefferson, OH as a supervisor.

Jean was a man that was loved by everyone. His outgoing personality made him very likable. In his younger years, he enjoyed skating; he also liked playing pool, corn hole, and cards with friends.

He was also an avid bowler at ABC Lanes for many years. He enjoyed being a catcher for various Slo Pitch softball teams over the years.  He was a member of the Army/Navy Union in Ashtabula. Most of all Jean enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Jean is survived by his wife Fawn of 19  years; sons, Danny ( Lindie Platano) Pifer and Joseph Tomsic ; siblings, Jeanne Rader, Tony (Terri) Nagle, Thomas (Trish) Nagle, John (Linda) Nagle, George (Tina) Nagle, Brenda (Bill) Bildstein, LuAnn (Deanna Brandt) Nagle, and Pete (Kim) Nagle; grandchildren, Derryn and Alicia Tomsic, Kaitlyn Johnson, and Raylin Hatfield; great-granddaughter, Kailiana Carlisle; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, William “Bill” and Jeffrey Nagle; grandson, Devlin Tomsic; nephew, JR Koeth; and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2PM at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004, with Philip Wrisley and Rev. Daniel Houck, officiating. Calling hours will be from 12PM until the time of the service at 2PM.
