ASHTABULA – Ramon Keith Leavitt, 85 joined his beloved “Teda” on Thursday, September 20, 2018.

The son of Raymond and Marguerite “Peg” (Brumagin) Leavitt, Keith was born on July 26, 1933 in Ashtabula and had remained a lifelong resident.

Keith was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church.

A veteran of the United States Army, Keith was honorably discharged in 1962 after having served seven years both active duty and reserve. He was a member of VFW Post #943 of Ashtabula, Ohio.

On June 26, 1957 Keith and Matilda Rose Mozzocci were united in marriage. They were married for fifty two years creating a loving and nurturing home for their children and grandchildren. Teda passed away on March 17, 2009.

Keith was employed as a Quality Control Supervisor prior to his retirement from MFG, where he was employed for forty plus years. He was dedicated employee and remained close with his coworkers after retirement.

Keith enjoyed fishing and hunting, collecting cars and boating. He and Teda belonged to the Jim Beam Club and loved travelling together.  Keith was a supportive dad to his children and loving Papa to his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his work ethic, and his love of family and friends.

Keith is survived by his children, Richard (Sheri) Leavitt of Saybrook, David Leavitt of Ashtabula, Brett and (Mary) Leavitt of Thompson; three grandsons, Michael, Nicholas, and Cameron Leavitt.

Keith was preceded in death by his beloved wife Teda Leavitt; sister, Beverly Griffin; and his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Carpenter Road, Ashtabula, Ohio. Rev, Julie Hanneman of the United Methodist Church will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at 10:30AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, Carpenter Road, Ashtabula, Ohio,
