Obituary of Patricia Ann Phelps

Patricia Ann Phelps, 87, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Born July 15, 1931, in Cleveland, the daughter of the late John M. and Marie (Pavlik) Gedeon.

She graduated from Edgewood High School in 1949.

Pat, along with her husband Jack, owned and operated Jack's Marine in Ashtabula until the time of his death in 1991. Pat continued to operate the business with her sons, John and Ron until her illness. She was a member of S.O.S. (Seniors Out Socializing)

She is survived by her children, Debbie (Joe) Dragon, John (Toni) Phelps, and Cheri (John) Rocco; daughter-in-law, Rose Phelps; sister, Betty Crislip; grandchildren, Laura Boutilier, Jen Craft, Joe, Andy and Jake Phelps, and Alex and Matt Rocco; great grandchildren, Kendyl Boutilier, and Olivia and Emily Craft; nieces and nephews, Dennis, Bob, and Mike Crislip, Kathy Gochneaur and Valerie Forthman. 

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Phelps, with whom she married on June 10, 1950; son, Ron Phelps in 2016; granddaughter, Lindsay Dragon in 1980; brother-in-law, Jerry Crislip; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Forthman; and her furry friend, Lucky.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio.  Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September, 25, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
