Audrey P. Barnes

CLEVELAND- Audrey Patricia Barnes, 80, died on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the David Simpson Hospice House after a short battle with cancer.

The daughter of Calvin J. and Mildred (LeChalt) McCann, Audrey was born on December 31, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio.

A long time area resident, Audrey was of the Methodist faith.

Audrey was the employee of the State of Ohio working for the Auditor’s Office for 27 ½ years. She enjoyed her job and the people she worked with.

Audrey was strong willed and stubborn yet she had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spoiled them with great amounts of love and support.

Audrey is survived by her son and his wife Staten and Virginia Barnes of Geneva; grandchildren, Stacie and Mike Sturm and their children, Tori, Hunter and Madyson, Staten and Stephanie Barnes and their children, Noah, Carson, Ireland, Finley and Vaile.

Audrey was preceded in death by her sister Nancy.

It was Audrey’s request that no services be held.
