Obituary of Raymond C. Botz

Raymond C. Botz, Jr., 79, of Williamsfield, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at UH- Andover Medical Center. He was born February 17, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of the late Theresa (Knebel) and Raymond C. Botz, Sr. Ray married the love of his life Eileen Woodard on June 30, 1956. Ray worked for many years for Otterman Aluminum Foundry and then retired from Andover Industries in 2001 Over the years he also worked in the water department at Holiday Camplands, and served as the head of maintenance at Lake Village Campground in Andover . He was a longtime member of the Eagle's Club # 4035 in Andover. He enjoyed going to rodeos, flea markets, woodworking, and dancing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Raymond is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eileen; children, Renee (Ray) Deimling, Ronald (Jodi) Botz, Elaine Hodge, Lori (William) Shine, and Raymond (Christine) Botz; grandchildren, Melissa (Sam) Diaz, Angela (Eric) Figueroa, Chelsea Botz, Michael Hodge, Amber Botz, Tyler Shine, Nicholas Botz, Brittany Beach, Alexandria Beach, and David Beach, Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren. Ray is preceded in death by his daughter, Tami Beach; sisters, Carol Rohm, and Loretta Tatarka; son-in-law's, William Hodge and David Beach; and grandchildren, Maranda Shine, William R. Shine, Jeremy Raymond Botz, Ronnie Botz, and Henry Hess; and his parents. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1PM at the Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 1071 SR 7, Pierpont, Ohio 4408, with Pastor Robert Gears of the Andover Christian Church officiating. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 11AM until the time of service. Should friends desire memorial contributions in his name may be made to the family.
