Obituary of Delmas "Dave" Shadd

Delmas “Dave” I Shadd, 65, passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 10, 2018.

He was born in Cleveland on March 31, 1953, to Travis and Shirley (Hamm) Dingess. Dave was adopted and raised by his grandparents John and Goldie Shadd. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran honorably serving our country.

Dave married Karen Rush on August 3, 1974. He was a retired Iron worker, having worked for Local #17 for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Karen; son, Eric Shadd; Chris Hall who was like a son to him; as well as a brothers, Robert Childress, and Travis, Chris, and Steve Dingess; sister, Betty Ann Childress; and many friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Johnny and Eugene Dingess.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1PM at the Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 1071 State Route 7, Pierpont.
