Obituary of Carl A. Campbell, Jr.
KINGSVILLE – Carl Anderson Campbell, Jr., 77, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
He was born July 8, 1941 in Morgantown, WV, the son of Carl A. Sr. and Emily (Michaels) Campbell. He married Sandra S. (Whipkey) on June 23, 1962, and was preceded in death by her in 1988.
After graduating from Morgantown High School, he took several classes at the University of West Virginia before going to work at Krogers in Ashtabula. After his wife’s passing he moved to California where he worked and retired from Boeing Aircraft and Insultech.
He enjoyed traveling, motorcycle riding, baking, and gardening.
His survivors include his children, Carl Campbell III of Phoenix, AZ and Tim Campbell and Heather Hayford, both of Ashtabula; his daughter-in-law, Jinette Campbell of Texas; his sister, Annabelle of West Virginia; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his son, Mark S. Campbell; his brothers, Albert and Tom; his sister, Amijean; and his parents.
No services will be observed. He will be laid to rest with his wife in West Virginia at a later date.
