Karen Lou Skarlinsky, 70, of Ashtabula passed away peacefully October 26, 2018 at the Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 7, 1947 in Ashtabula the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Ellen (Whitely) Anderson. Karen graduated from Edgewood High School Class of 1966. She married the love of her life Ronald Skarlinsky on September 20, 1969. Karen worked at the social security administration for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Karen was an animal lover and throughout life chose to raise and love her pets as if they were her children. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ronald; siblings, Kay (Don) Johnson, Kevin Anderson, and sister, Kimberly Glosser; sister-in-law's, Mary Grubb, Louise, Ida, and Sandy Skarlinsky; and many nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her step- mother, Ruth Anderson; sister-in-law, Beverly Skarlinsky; and brother-in-law's, Robert, James, William, Thomas, and Walter Skarlinsky. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 11 AM at the Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
