Obituary of Waldemar Ortiz

ASHTABULA – Waldemar Ortiz, 39, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at ACMC.

He was born July 18, 1979 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, the son of Hector Ortiz and Luz M. Repollet Rivera and had been an Ashtabula resident for the past 20 years.

Waldemar had worked as a shipping manager for Ridge Manor Nursery in Madison. He was a Cleveland sports fan, but his greatest passion in life was his children. He was an amazing father and everything he did revolved around his children.

He is survived by his fiancé', Lohanys Pagan; his parents, Hector Ortiz and Luz M. Repollet Rivera of Puerto Rico; five children, Amaya, Natalia, and Jalissa Ortiz and Giovanni and Jaycob Ortiz; and a sister, Karla Marrero Repollet of PR.

Calling hours will be held, Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio.

A service will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 12 Noon at the Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3140 E. Center Street, N. Kingsville, OH. Pastor Hector Picasso of Iglesia Pentecostes will officiate assisted by Rev. Neftali Salgado. Burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in c/o the funeral home.
