Obituary of Kristen Anne Kranauer

ASHTABULA – Kristen Anne Kranauer, 36, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 3, 2018. She was born on May 9, 1982 in Ashtabula, the daughter of the John and Bernadette (Frye) Kranauer and had been a lifelong area resident. A graduate of Geneva High School, she attended Lakeland Community College and was currently employed with Third Dimension as a shift supervisor. She had also worked for Molded Fiberglass and helped on the family farm in Rock Creek, especially at hay harvesting time. Known to many of her friends and family as Krissy or "Kakerz", she loved Marilyn Monroe, acting, and collecting beach glass and wooly bears. With Halloween being her favorite holiday, she loved haunted houses and scary movies. She was also a huge animal lover and was especially fond of her 2 cats, Sylvester and Karma. Krissy enjoyed rap music (especially MGK) and was a member of First Community Church of God. She is survived by parents, John and Bernie Kranauer of Rock Creek; two children, Serenity and Michael Rivera; two sisters, Julie Aveni and Jennifer (Justin "JJ") Janson; one brother, Christopher "Bud" (Melissa Bray) Kranauer; and her nieces and nephews, Elysia, Hailey (Austin Hall), Saige and Kaleb McNutt, Klyde Kranauer, and Brittany and Briana Aveni. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Agnes Frye, Florence Frye, and John and Anna Kranauer A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the First Community Church of God, 1910 S. Ridge Rd. W, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004, with Pastor Hal Morgan officiating. A time of food and fellowship will follow services.
