Obituary of Clarence Eugene Housel

Ashtabula-Clarence Eugene “Bud” Housel, 73, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Nov. 6, 2018 at his home in Ashtabula, OH.

 

He was born on  March 28, 1945 in Ashtabula to Walker “Curtis” and Mabel (Wetherbee) Housel.

 

A 1964 graduate of Edgewood Senior High School, he retired from the United States Air Force in 1985 after 20 years of service.  He served in Cam Ranh Bay Vietnam (1970-1971) during the Vietnam War.

 

Clarence enjoyed collecting coins, traveling the world with the U.S. Air Force, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering at various Veteran’s functions.

 

Surviving him are his children, Tammy (Daniel) Goodson of Ashtabula, Jamie Curtis Housel and Walter (Patricia Buechner) Housel of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Sarah Housel, Carleigh Buechner, Brandon Beverly, Stoney Reid, Kristina Goodson, Khristopher Goodson, Nikki Goodson, and Amber Harford; 3 great granddaughters; 8 great grandsons; and 1 great grandchild on the way.

 

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and ex-wife, Rosemary (Sayles) Housel.

 

Military Honors will be observed at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, OH on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM

 

Memorial contributions mat be made to Ashtabula County Animal Protective League.
