Obituary of Norman E. Chambers

Norman E. Chambers, 70, of North Kingsville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at home Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

He was born July 20, 1948 in Ashtabula, Ohio the son of the late William and Ruth Chambers. He married Mary Mae Kurtz on August 13, 1968 and spent 45 years together before her passing in 2013.

Norman worked for many years at RMI Extrusion Plant in Ashtabula for 31 years. He was a member of the Andover Eagle's and also enjoyed bowling at ABC bowling alley for many years. Norman enjoyed fishing, playing pool, gaming, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Linda (John) Nagle of Jefferson, Karen Chambers, Lucinda Sue Saunders, Christina Hedrick, and Harry (Janice) Icenhower all of Ashtabula; four sisters, Sue (John) Christo of Utica, PA; Beverly (Mike) Mitchell of Jefferson, Brenda Chambers of Ashtabula and Cynthia Chambers of Warren; two brothers, William Chambers, Jr. of Kingsville, and David Chambers of Illinois; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Norman was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Mary Mae in 2013; great-granddaughter, Isabella Chambers; sister, Linda Chambers; brother, Kenny Chambers; and son-in-law, Clyde Saunders.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 1PM at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, with Rev. Kenneth Roberts of the Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Gageville Cemetery in Sheffield Twp.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM.

At time of fellowship will be held after services at the East Ashtabula Club, 2323 Columbus Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
