Obituary of Robert Charles Mead

Robert ("Bob") Mead passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. Born on October 3, 1957, Robert was the son of Charles ("Buddy") and Marguerite ("Peggy") (Volpone) Mead. Robert, a devoted father, enjoyed traveling to visit with his daughters, helping them with home improvement projects, and playing with his grandchildren. While at home he loved vegetable gardening, tinkering with things, and taking care of the yard. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, going to wineries to listen to his favorite local band, "The Castaways," and taking bus trips to the casino. He took great pride in Saybrook Township where he worked for 39 years in the Road Department. Robert will be missed by his wife of 40 years, Teri (Hood) Mead; his daughters, Melinda ("Mindy") Morrell and Sarah Peterson; his grandchildren AJ and Nora Peterson; his mother, Marguerite Mead; his siblings Jerry Anne Berg, Scott, Timothy and Jon Mead; his sons-in-law, Andrew Morrell and Aaron Peterson; and many loving family and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Charles Mead. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4–6 P.M. at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue Ashtabula, Ohio.
