Obituary of Ellen Elaine Barnum

Ellen "Elaine" Barnum, 63, of Monroe Twp., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 5, 2019.

She was born July 21, 1955 in Conneaut the daughter of the late Chester and Helen (Balcomb) Lowery. She had remained a lifelong resident, and worked for many years at Molded Fiberglass and Premix. Elaine married the love of her life Kyle Barnum on May 24, 1997.

Together Kyle and Elaine shared their love of horses. She spent many years on the trails with her beloved horses. They were her true passion. Elaine volunteered many hours over the years with 4-H, helping with fundraisers, crafts, and anything else she could assist with. She enjoyed making ceramics and has left many pieces for her family to cherish. Elaine was always supportive of her children and family and did what she could to help them out. She will truly be missed by all of them.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 21 years Kyle; children, Amanda Barnum, Pam Schaffner, and Bryan Scott Adams; siblings, Ruth Connell, Jacqulyn McBride, Dorothy Mitchell, Darlene Hicks, Robert Lowery and Dale Langdon; grandson, Lane; as well as many nieces', nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Lowery; sisters, Carol Bowers, Audrey Frost, Betty Phillips, and Barbara Fugate.

At her request no services will be held, cremation will take place.
