Obituary of Patricia Joyce Gant

Patricia Gant, age 71 formerly of Ashtabula and a longtime resident of Columbus, Ohio passed away while under hospice care on January 4, 2019 with her family by her side.

She worked as an In-Home Childcare Provider. Patricia loved to celebrate birthdays and holidays with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thedford and Lucille Ellis from Rockwood, Tennessee; Brothers, Jimmy Siler, Curtis Siler, and Robert Siler; Sisters, Evelyn Siler-Decastro and Dorthy Siler-Benton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Patricia is survived by her sons, Devens Gant and Terrence Gant (Shirley); Daughters, Yvette Gant-Ezeuduji, Cheneen Gant-Moore (Mansfield); Sister, Sharon Ellis-Smith; sister-in-law Gwyneth Siler (Robert); nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held, Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10AM-11AM at New Hope Church of God and Christ, 4313 West Ave. Ashtabula, Ohio, and will be followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM with Pastor Emory Moore, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. A repass will be held at New Hope Church of God and Christ, following the graveside committal.
