Obituary of Mary Bozeman

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mary Christine Bozeman was born March 18, 1958 to William Sr. and Mary Scott in Boston, Massachusetts.

Mary was a 1975 graduate of Brighton High School. To further her education, she attended American Business Institute. Throughout her career in the Boston area, she was employed at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, Massachusetts General Hospital, Emmanuel College and John Hancock.

In 1976, she married Eddi Williams (deceased) and from that union 3 children: Kathy, Tanya, and Kristopher.

Shortly after relocating to Painesville, Ohio in the 1990’s, Mary received her Nurse Aide Certificate and went to work for Homestead I. She has held various other job positions but she found pleasure in volunteering. Mary completed her most recent volunteer work this past fall at Lake Health Mentor Campus.

Mary re-married to William Bozeman (deceased). They enjoyed traveling, cooking and fishing together.

Throughout her life, Mary’s service for God included being an usher, working on the hospitality board, singing in the choir, praise & worship leader, and children’s Sunday school teacher. She loved crocheting blankets and sewing. It was much joy having people over for dinner and baking her delightful pound cake.

Mary was called home to be with the Lord on January 21, 2019. She is survived by her 3 children; her grandkids: Antwoine, Kaliyah, Aydreana, Jovany, Antonio, Iiliyah (aka “baby doll”), and Raquel; her siblings: Esther, Kevin, William Jr., and Carolyn (deceased) and her parents: William Sr. and Mary Scott and a host of many relatives.

Mary would not want us to mourn her passing but celebrate her home-going with the Lord. She was truly a caring and loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend.

Funeral services will be performed by Pastor Rich Boll at the Lake Erie Church of God, 3050 Antioch Rd., Perry, Ohio, 44081, on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 12:00PM, where visiting hours will be held from 11AM until time of service.
