Obituary of Phyllis M. Parker

Phyllis M. (Miller) Parker, 88, of Ashtabula, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.

 

She was born July 16, 1930 in Summerville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Frank P. and Georgia Mae (Reynolds) Miller. Phyllis moved to Ashtabula, Ohio in 1950 and has been a resident ever since.

 

Phyllis was a member of the Ashtabula First Church of the Nazarene.  She was involved in many clubs and organizations. In her spare time, she enjoyed a women’s Pinocle club and reading a good book. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

 

She is survived by her children Bruce Burns, Pam (Denny) Adams, Cathy Burns, Betsy (Bruce) Schlosser, Greg (Joanne) Parker and Denny (Judy) Parker; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

 

Phyllis is preceded in death by her first husband C. Vance Burns; second husband, Earl Parker in December 2011; and 8 brothers and sisters.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Phyllis’s name to The Sanctuary of Geneva, 200 Commerce Pl. Geneva, Ohio.

 

Visitation will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio with a service to follow at 12 Noon at the funeral home.

 

Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio at a later date.
