It was a pleasure knowing and sailing with Dr Wasylenki and his wife Pat. A mutual friend, Bob Himes, introduced us at AYC on one of our many sailing trips to their club. Morris always took time to get to know friends and was generous with invitations to join him for an outting. He will be fondly remembered.

Our condolences to the Wasylenki family.
Wasy was a good friend to our dad, Ken Brace, who enjoyed his visits and calls and our dad even adopted a vegan diet for many years based on their discussions. Our dad spoke of his friendship with Dr. Wasylenki often and he admired his commitment to his patients, to healthy eating, and a love of the arts.
Our thoughts are with the Wasylenki family during this difficult time.

You have my deepest condolences on your loss. The Apostle Paul wrote at 1 Corinthians 15:26 that ‘death is an enemy’. This is so true, because death robs us of friends and loved ones, but we can take comfort in his words recorded in the book of Acts 24:15 “that there is going to be a resurrection”. The Apostle Paul was not only talking about the things he saw but also repeating what the Lord Jesus Christ said as recorded at John 5:28, 29 that there would come a time “when all those in the memorial tomb would hear his voice and come out.” These words can bring us the comfort that we will be reunited with our loved ones in the near future. A future where there is no more pain, suffering or death (Revelation 21:4). This is a promise from Jehovah God (Revelation 22:6).

Wasy was a great surgeon, a dear friend. There was nothing came above his patients. I had a great pleasure to work with him for several years until his retirement. He influenced me to become a vegan (have a whole foods plant based diet to reverse and prevent chronic diseases). Wasy you will be dearly missed. My condolence to your loved ones.

My condolences to the family of Dr. Wasylenki. He was a wonderful, caring man. His gentle approach to me, as a patient, put me at ease. I needed surgery and he took the time to answer all of my questions and put my fears to rest by telling me exactly what he was going to do. Other patients described him the same way...kind, caring and attentive. Rest in Peace, Dr. Wayslenki.

Wasy was always a great partner and dedicated to his vision of what medical care should look like at the Ashtabula Clinic. I spent years assisting him in surgery and he would assist me as well. He talked about his wife and children every day with hope and pride. He talked about his dog, his latest book reading, politics esp. as it concerned medicine. I learned more from Wasy about his good friend Bill Millburg than I ever heard from Bill. Judy and I pray for his family in these coming years of grief and fond memories. Let me know if we can be of assistance.

Dr. Wasylenki was a great teacher. I have fond memories of him when I was a new graduate nurse in the 1980’s. He always took the time to teach those around him no matter who they were. I still remember some of the great things he taught me today. He truly touched so many lives. Prayers to the family.
