Obituary of Norma Pearl Gaede

Norma Gaede, 85, of Kingsville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 26, 2019. She was born May 19, 1933 in Richmond, Ohio the daughter of the late Emmett and Bessie (Moore) Spencer. She graduated from Ashtabula High School. Over the years Norma worked at Montgomery Ward, and True Temper, but her main job and priority was being a mother and wife. Norma married Fredrick Gaede on April 6, 1976. Norma enjoyed going to yard sales, always looking for a good find and going out to eat with her family and friends. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Hunter, Shane (Mary) Hunter, and James Spencer; step-children, Michael Gaede, Susan (Marty) Wyse, and Tammy (Robert) Smith; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick on March 22, 2010; sisters, Hilda Wrouble, Gladys Fuchs, and Lillian "Lil" Hodgkinson; brother, Floyd Spencer; and her parents. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2PM at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, with Rev. Terry Simpson of the Gageville United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 2PM. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and nurses of the Hospice of the Western Reserve, especially to nurse Kelly for the kindness and care she provided for Norma in her final hours.
