Obituary of John DiLemme

John DiLemme, 92, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2019, at Saybrook Landing with his beloved wife at his side. He was born on February 19, 1927, in Isernia, Italy, the son of Angelo and Antimina DiLemme. John immigrated to the United States in 1955 and had been a resident of Ashtabula ever since. He was well-known for his impeccable flower gardens and beautiful landscaping. John also enjoyed traveling and playing Bocci. Mr. DiLemme was employed with Rockwell International, retiring in 1987. He was faithful member of our Our Lady of Peace Parrish. In addition, he was a member of ISDA and the Knights of Columbus. John is survived by his wife, Anna Marie DiLemme, whom he married on August 9, 1969. They would have celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage this August. He is also survived by his daughter, Theresa (Frank) Daniels; grandson, John Daniels; granddaughter, Julie (Amanda) Lester; brother, Vincent (Olympia) DiLemme; and his sister-in-law, Lucy DiLemme. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Guy and Carmen DiLemme; and sisters, Ann Rampini and Sue Bernardo. He was also preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of Theresa, Anna Marie Montanaro DiLemme; Friends and family will be received from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, at Our Lady of Peace, Mt. Carmel Church, 1200 E. 21st St., Ashtabula, Ohio on May 11, 2019. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00PM with the entombment taking place at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Memorials in memory of John may be given to the Hospice of the Western Reserve or Our Lady of Peace Parish.
