Donna M. Jordan

ASHTABULA- Donna Mae Jordan, 83, completed her earthly journey on Monday, May 6, 2019.

The daughter of Earl and Helene (Troy) Morgan, Donna was born on March 27, 1936 in Saybrook Township.

Donna was a graduate of the Lutheran School of Nursing and was employed with Ashtabula General Hospital in Labor and Delivery for ten years; Dr. Jones local pediatrician for ten years and completed her nursing career as Director of Nursing at Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for twenty-years. Donna was a “Nurse’s Nurse” she was skilled at her profession and made her patients comfortable. She loved her staff and treated them as family.

Donna and Willie Jordan were married on February 10, 1968 and together they celebrated fifty-one years of love and caring for each other and their families.

Donna was never idle; she was affectionately called “Sarge” her home was a gathering place for family and friends. Everyone who walked through her door was made to feel like family. Her love for them shone in everything she did. Donna enjoyed reading fiction and was a regular at the Kingsville Library; she would discuss politics with anyone, hoping you would see her side. A wonderful gardener Donna enjoyed spending time outside in her gardens and watching the birds it was a wonderful way to spend a day. Will and Donna spent winters in Florida sharing the sunshine.

Donna is survived by her devoted husband, Willie  of North Kingsville; her children, Shem Parsons of Saybrook, Todd (Penni) Parsons of Colorado, Kris Parsons of Florida, David(Lori)Parsons of North Kingsville, David (Lori) Jordan also of Florida, and Faith Jordan also on North Kingsville; grandchildren, Cassandra Parsons, Alicia(Jeremy) Kightlinger, Taylor Lute, Sean Parsons, Jared Parsons, Ashleigh Parsons, Mikal Parsons, Cody Masella, and Benea Masella; great-grandchildren, Camden Lines, Connor Lines and Jackson Kightlinger.

Donna was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law; Delores (Jess) Dalrymple and her parents.

Memorial Services will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.

Visitation will be observed from 10:00AM until 12:00PM on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio.
