Barbara M. Soltesz

CONNEAUT- Barbara M. Soltesz, 86, passed away on May 2, 2019 at Ahuja Medical Center.

The daughter of Williams and Helen (Lewis) Adamson, Barbara was born in New Salem, Pennsylvania on May 5, 1932.

On February 9, 1952 Barbara and Gerald W. Soltesz were united in marriage in Brownsville, Pennsylvania they were married fifty three years before his passing in 2005. Their marriage was one of love and mutual respect. They enjoyed loving and caring for their daughters Bonnie and Debbie and their grandchildren. The many memories that were created will be held in the corners of their hearts to be cherished forever.

Barbara was an active member of TOPS and the KOPS in Cleveland, Euclid, Madison, and Ashtabula where she won many awards for reaching her goals and encouraging others to succeed. She also belonged to the YWCA in Madison and Ashtabula for many years. A person who enjoyed being outside, Barbara tended her flower gardens with tender loving care. She had some of the most beautiful flowers and shared them with others. She was an avid square dancer and enjoyed camping with family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Broida and Debbie Spiker; grandchildren, Nikki, Brandon, Brittany and Robby; great-grandchildren, Stella, Teddy, Rene, Declan and Donavan.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald “Jerry”; siblings, Gladys Legros, Charles Donald Adamson and Clarence William Adamson; son-in-law, Norman Spiker;  and her parents.

It was Barbara’s request that private family services be held. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio
