Obituary of Robert Allen Bean

Robert Allen Bean, Sr.

Fort Mill, SC- Robert Allen Bean, Sr., 64, died on August 12, 2018.

Born October 18, 1953 in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of Forrest and Dolores (Hassett) Bean.

Robert proudly served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps for many years. He gave everything for his country. He returned from Vietnam a 100% disabled War Hero. He worked on the railroad form many years.

In his spare time, Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, martial arts and mostly, spending time with his friends and family. He was a comedic man and an avid model train collector.

His survivors include his mother, Dolores (Hassett) Bean of Fort Mill, SC; two brothers, David Bean of Fort Mill, SC and William (Kathy) Bean of Ashtabula, OH; one sister, Carolyn Bean of Fort Mill, SC; five children, Robert A, (Jaime) Massena of Ashtabula, OH, Robert A. (Tori) Bean, Jr., of DeKalb, IL Rebecca Bean of Columbus, OH, Thomas Bean of Columbus, OH and Robert A. Bean, Jr., of Columbus, OH; seven grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Forest Bean; his grandparents; and his grandson, Tyler Grubb.

Burial of ashes will take place on May 18, 2019 at 11A.M. at St. Joseph Cemetery on Carpenter Road in Ashtabula Ohio. Military Honors will take place.
