Obituary of Charles Ray Williams

CLEVELAND- Mr. Charles Ray Williams, 72 was called home unexpectedly on Sunday, June 2, 2019 while a patient at Cleveland clinic.

The son of Willis and Elizabeth (Williams) Wilkins, Charles was born January 3, 1947 in Cairo, Illinois and had moved to the Ashtabula at a young age. Charles was a graduate of Ashtabula High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

A hard dedicated worker, Charles, worked for RMI for twenty-five years as a Boiler Operator.

Charles and Mary Boles were married for sixteen years. They enjoyed being with each other and sharing fond memories.

Charles like to fish and hunt and being outdoors. The quietness of nature allowed him to relax at his favorite fishing hole. Charles liked the cooking channel and would like to share the recipes with friends. Muscle Cars were quite the hobby for Charles; he enjoyed the craftsmanship and the skill required to keep them on the road.

Charles loved his family and it showed; he was very supportive in everything they did and encouraged them to do their best.

Charles is survived by his Wife Mary Boles Williams; children, Edna Laferty, Ouidia King,Annie Williams’s children, Sabrina Renee Williams, Cincellia Williams, Latasha Williams; grandchildren, Derek King, Devin King, Charlton Williams Marquis Williams, Richard Baldwin, III, X'Zavion Williams, Chrishawna Clark, Triana Jordan, and Rico Laferty; with many great grandchildren who loved him dearly.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 12NOON on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio. Reverend David Howard, Jr. Pastor, of Hiawatha Church of God in Christ will be officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio
