Obituary of Robert William Brownell

Robert William Brownell, 69, of Ashtabula, passed away on June 5, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born April 11, 1950 in Norwalk, Ohio. He was the son of Carl and Arlene (Vaughn) Brownell.

He married the love of his life, Ellen Marie Olson, in 1983 in Ashtabula. They spent 19 wonderful years together before her passing in 2002.

Robert was a man of many hobbies. He enjoyed sports scrapbooking, working in his yard, and was an avid Hot Wheels Collector, especially the Bat Man collection.

Although he enjoyed many things, his true passion was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as being a kind hearted person who would do what he could for anyone in need.

Robert is survived by his six daughters, Julie Brownell, Tiffany Brownell, Holly Brownell, Jennifer (Derek) Bobbitt, Elisabeth (James) Hammon and April (John) Brownell-Massena; grandchildren, Lataiana Bolger, Antonio Rivera, Sean Hammon, Destiny Oquendo, Damon Hammon, and Ethan Massena.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
