Jane C. Flick

ASHTABULA- Jane Carolyn Flick, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 29, 2019 at ACMC ER with family by her side.

The daughter of Victor and Hilda (Steffler) Minteer, Jane was born on July 22, 1927 in Sharon Pennsylvania and had been an Ashtabula resident for fifty-seven years.

Jane graduated as Valedictorian of her High School class and second in her class of Alleghany Hospital School of Nursing. She dedicated twenty-five years of her life to nursing at ACMC, while raising her five beloved children that she was so devoted to.

Jane was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Ashtabula where she served as Elder and belonged to the Funeral Committee and the Ladies Group. She loved to play cards, especially bridge and also spent many enjoyable hours playing rummy and hearts with the grandchildren. Jane enjoyed gardening and loved working outside in her yard. She also enjoyed the game of golf, but especially loved shopping trips to the mall.

Jane is survived by her children, Barbara (Thad) Mandato of Olmsted Falls Township, Ohio, Jim (Nancy) Flick, M.D. of Muskegon, Michigan, Tom (Terri) Flick of Ashtabula, Jeff (Sarah) Flick, PHD. of Salt Lake city, Utah, and  Ron(Nancy) Flick of Brecksville, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Scott, Jared, Sarah, Beth, Eric, Nathan, Abbey, Evan, Holly, and Ryan; five great-grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband Clifford C. Flick whom she married October 28, 1950; her sister, Margaret Craft and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro funeral Home 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio. The Rev. Kenneth Ayers officiating, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Ashtabula, Ohio. Private entombment at Greenlawn Memory Gardens will be held.

Visitation will be observed from 10: AM until time of service at 12 Noon on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004.
