Obituary of Linda Ruth Budy

Linda R. Budy

ASHTABULA-Linda Ruth Budy, 76 passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 while a resident of Ashtabula County Nursing Home.

The daughter of Earl Louis Patrick and Ruth (Grimes) Patrick, Linda was born on December 14, 1942 in Geneva, Ohio. A graduate of Geneva High School Linda enjoyed keeping in touch with her classmates.

On September 15, 1962 Linda and Albert Budy were united in marriage. Their fifty-seven years of marriage created many memories that were shared with her family and friends.

After the death of their son, Mark, Linda became very involved with Compassionate Friends of Ashtabula, who helped in her grief journey. She will be always grateful to them for their words of wisdom over the years.

Linda had many interests and hobbies over the years. She made and shared her ceramic creations with family and friends and they are now treasures of the heart. She and Albert enjoyed fishing for perch on Lake Erie; she was an excellent seamstress and could grow the most beautiful roses. Her greatest joy came from her family. Linda was a good daughter, sister, wife, mom and grandma.

Linda is survived by her husband Albert Budy; her children, David Budy, of Ashtabula, Dawn (Brian) Lane of Carolina, John Budy and Albert Budy, Jr. both of Ashtabula; thirty grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; siblings, Colleen (Bill) Stowe and Earl (Teresa) Patrick loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004. Rev. Raymond Thomas will preside. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Austinburg, Ohio.

Visitation will be observed from 2PM until 4PM on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004.
