Obituary of Hope Patricia Patterson

Hope P. Patterson Hope Patricia Patterson, 87, of Ashtabula passed away August 5, 2019 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born November 26, 1931 in South Fork, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Victor and Martha (Myers) Roberts. Hope graduated from Adams High School in South Fork. She married the love of her life Vernon Patterson on April 2, 1950. Hope worked for 25 years at J.C. Penny in the catalog department before her retirement in 1994. She enjoyed playing BINGO with friends at the Friendship Club on Friday afternoons. She used her free time and talent to crochet and make plastic canvas projects for her family members for gifts. Spending time with her great-granddaughter brought her much joy over the past five years. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Burnett of Ashtabula; grandsons, Gregory (Courtney) Baker and David Baker; great-granddaughter, Corinne Baker; sister, Naomi New; brother, Zane (Jana) Roberts; as well as many nieces and nephews. Hope was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon in 1974; brother, Keith Roberts; and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 1PM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery.
