Lisa Ann (Jones) Newsome, 55, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2019 at Jefferson Health Care. She was born April 22, 1964 in Geneva, Ohio. She was the daughter of John Jones and Sally Bennett. Lisa was a resident of Ashtabula County for most of her life. She was always a hard worker. She enjoyed her job as an STNA at a few nursing homes in the area. Her most recent posting was at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, helping residents with their activities of daily living. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her family and her animals. Lisa is survived by her husband of 36 years, Delmar Newsome; her son, Christopher Jones; her father; siblings, Debbie Yeagley, Robin Titus, Penny Jones, June (Robert) Gillespie, Ted Jones, Harvey Eliason, Lyle Bennett, Nettie (Dallas) Stone and John Jones, Jr. She is preceded by her mother and brothers-in-law, Dave Yeagley and Timothy Titus. Lisa's family would like to thank Jefferson Health Care and Hospice of the Western Reserve for the compassionate care given to Lisa. If friends shall desire, memorial contributions may be made in Lisa's name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 11 A.M. at the Ashtabula Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula. Online obituary and condolences at www.ducro.com
