Dennis Wayne Chambers, 59, of Ashtabula passed away unexpectedly at home September 1, 2019. He was born October 17, 1959 in Conneaut the son of the late Elmer Ivan and Phyllis Louise (Hale) Chambers. Dennis worked for many years as a truck driver. He then went to work as a corrections officer in EL Paso Texas before his retirement in 2010. Dennis was a faithful Christian and loved the Lord. He enjoyed fishing in his free time. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Dennis (Dawn) Chambers, II of North Carolina; daughter, Stacie (Joshua Tessmer) Chambers of Ashtabula; brother, Ron (Marivic) Chambers of Naples, Florida; grandchildren, Andrew and Ava Chambers; nephews, Ron Chambers, Rick (Ann) Chambers, and Ryan (Stacy) Chambers; great-nephews, Ronnie, Johnathan, Mally, Aidan, and Austin Chambers; and many other great friends and family. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Ira and Margaret Chambers, and Richard Hale and Leona Froeming. A celebration of Dennis's Life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 5pm at Lakeshore Park, (Overlook Pavilion) in Ashtabula. For those planning to attend, if able bring a fishing pole to honor Dennis with "One Last Cast." In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the family of the American Heart Association.
